Profile

I have designed kitchens and bathrooms since I started working in my husband’s architectural firm in 1983. Kitchens have always been my passion since I love to cook. My kitchens are designed to be functional and work well for my Clients while at the same time beautiful to look at.

A large kitchen can look beautiful but not work efficiently for the person who is preparing food in it. A small kitchen with limited space can be designed to look more spacious and pleasing to the eye.

The same principle applies to bathrooms – it should be functional in addition to attractive.

My goal is to get to know you – your tastes, your likes, your dislikes and your life style. Armed with that information, I will provide you with professionally designed project that will meet your requirements, budget and time frame and that will exceed your expectations.

I look forward to meeting with you and designing your dream project.

Ane Brusendorff
Kitchen and Bath Designer
I grew up in Denmark where my father, grandfather and aunt were architects. After high school, I enrolled in the Architecture Department at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. I studied for 5 years after which time I changed majors and graduated with a degree in Fashion Design. During this time, I met my husband, Stephen Peterson, a California native. He was in graduate school studying architecture at the time.
After I graduated, we moved to Los Angeles, California, so I could work in the fashion industry. What a culture shock! After some time in this industry, I decided that it was not a good fit and started working with my husband in his architectural firm. This was in 1983 and we have worked together ever since.

In 1991 we moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I initially worked for several different Kitchen and Cabinet Design companies to gain experience. I became a Certified Kitchen Designer, many years ago, but decided this year 2014, that I really didn't need to stay a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and resigned my membership. I have never looked back because I am still good at designing kitchens and bathrooms.
I have designed all styles of both kitchens and bathrooms, from large, fancy, efficient and expensive to small, simple, efficient and economical. The goal in all of these projects was to design the kitchen or bath that met all aspects of my client’s expectations.
